About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Tyler, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will check doors, gates, and key access points, document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to calls for assistance with a calm, customer-service mindset. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, injuries, and/or vehicle accidents, and escalate to site contacts and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
