Security Officer - Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol in HUDSON, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while supporting a welcoming experience. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, offices, corridors, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee and vendor movement, reporting irregularities and/or policy concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
- Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations during post and shift changes, and follow directions from Allied Universal supervision regarding security-related priorities.
