As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service needs with clear communication. Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor identity using approved credentialing processes, issue temporary badges as directed and document entries and exits in required systems.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalate concerns to the appropriate contacts and complete accurate reports.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
- Observe and report unusual activity, assist with de-escalation and support security-related communications with staff, vendors and/or responders as required by post orders.
