As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your presence and proactive patrols will contribute to a positive experience for visitors and staff. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting our commitment to putting people first and working as a team with integrity.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe for any suspicious behavior or situations and report findings according to site procedures.
Assist with access control, including monitoring entrances and exits, to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Support the enforcement of property rules and regulations as outlined by the client and Allied Universal.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.
