About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-profile aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and assist with visitor processing and/or entry control in accordance with location requirements.
Support Allied Universal and site management by communicating clearly with employees, guests, and/or first responders during routine operations and unusual events.
