Security Officer - Patrol Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with tenants, guests, and property staff, provide customer-focused assistance, and communicate clear, timely updates. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors and exteriors, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and unauthorized access concerns.
- Monitor access control points and observe cameras and/or building systems as assigned, reporting irregular conditions and following post orders for escalation.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and onsite contacts.
