Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Tallahassee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter incidents. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and provide standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and warehouse areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or access credentials, issuing visitor directions, and maintaining access logs per site requirements.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication systems when assigned, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations and actions, and coordinate with site contacts and/or public responders when requested.
