About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with friendly, clear communication. You will respond to alarms and access control needs as they arise, report concerns promptly, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, hotel and resort location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and suspicious activity, and coordinate with on-site management and/or local responders as directed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, service corridors, and back-of-house spaces, verifying credentials as required, and documenting unauthorized entry attempts.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site contacts per post procedures.
