As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to calls for assistance, while documenting observations using a computer or tablet. Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD TS-SCI clearance.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor processing, and directing individuals to proper check-in locations per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident documentation, and shift turnover notes, and communicate security-related information to oncoming personnel and site representatives.
