As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and respectful customer service. You will document activities, respond to calls for assistance, and collaborate with site teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points, while documenting observations and reporting concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and requests for assistance.
- Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, issuing visitor directions, and helping staff maintain orderly movement through entrances, exits, and key interior zones.
- Complete required reports and logs, communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations by preserving details and observations.
