Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to situations with professionalism and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and/or access control systems; verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and drivers in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting site emergency actions as directed.
  • Document patrols, access activity, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
