About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Wilkes Barre, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to manage visitor flow, observe for policy concerns, and report security-related issues according to post instructions.
Support a courteous and professional atmosphere by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with security-related requests from authorized personnel and/or guests.
