Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a government location supporting a busy public transit environment. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to riders and staff. Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, passengers, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, assigned buildings, access points, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with access control procedures, and help to deter unauthorized activity in accordance with location guidelines.
• Support a professional presence at a government location by documenting incidents, communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies, and following post orders and escalation procedures.
