You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, complete clear reports, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, conditions, and/or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry through presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document patrol observations and incident details, and communicate status updates to supervision per post orders.
