You will conduct routine foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, respond to security-related concerns, and document observations while providing strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have an active DOD Clearance
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and respond to door alarms, suspicious activity reports, and service requests; provide directions and assist with routine questions and concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire and intrusion alarms, while coordinating with campus resources and public responders as needed.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems; communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
