About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Operations in Falls Church, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and support access control using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient care areas, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or concerning activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help to confirm authorized entry, and communicate directions to patients and visitors in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
