About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, support access awareness, and communicate clearly with guests and staff. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or unsecured access points, and document observations through detailed activity and incident reports.
Support opening, closing, and after-hours activities by helping to control access, checking designated areas, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate contact.
