About The Position

As a Security Officer - Defense Patrol Driver in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activities, and providing exceptional customer service through clear and professional communication. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Requirements

  • Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for suspicious behavior in an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences, according to established protocols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as necessary to support site operations.
  • Complete required reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, and observations as directed by site procedures.
