About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements are needed. You will support operations with customer service while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout industrial production areas, yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing traffic flow per site procedures.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting, doors, and/or fencing issues observed during rounds.
