Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a fast-paced tech location as a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and manage security-related access points and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with teams and site contacts, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Security Experience ‐ 2+ Years is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, including checking doors, gates, and/or restricted areas and reporting concerns per site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and service requests in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate key information during shift handoff.
