Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Day Shifts in Tempe, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns with calm communication, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control points, verifying credentials and directing visitors and deliveries according to location procedures.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and policy exceptions, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or client representatives.
