As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents with clear communication and customer-focused service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and store associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior, potential theft indicators, and/or policy violations; report observations per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, coordinating with management, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
