Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor the property, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, and you will respond to calls for service, support access points, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to property management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, assisting with visitor directions, policy reminders, and documenting findings in daily activity and incident reports.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and other assigned areas, and communicate maintenance and/or operational issues to the appropriate contact per post orders.
