About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including perimeter areas, access points, and active work zones, while helping to identify and report suspicious activity and/or site concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized persons, vehicles, and/or materials.
  • Support a professional presence at a construction-related location by observing changing conditions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders and Allied Universal protocols.
