As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols, complete detailed reports, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance. You will bring strong customer service and clear communication, while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, teamwork, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at an educational location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic as assigned, assist with directions and questions, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift turnover communications, supporting campus operations and Allied Universal post requirements.
