Security Officer Manufacturing Facility
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Full-Time in Mesquite, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and service requests. You will document observations and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering a customer-first experience. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, yard areas, parking areas and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor access control points for employees, visitors, contractors and drivers, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups.
- Complete detailed shift documentation and incident reports, communicate noteworthy activity to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts and support investigations with statements and available information.
