About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Unarmed in Gibbstown, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, support access control and badge processing, respond to alarms and incidents, and document observations with clear communication. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related issues while delivering reliable customer service and working as part of a team that leads with integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through the established chain of communication.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and perform access control tasks such as checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors and contractors to the proper check-in process.
- Complete timely reports and documentation for patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant updates to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
