Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Required hospital vaccinations must be obtained and maintained.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, disorderly conduct, and/or policy violations by monitoring activity, checking credentials when required, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions.
  • Support daily operations by assisting with access control, directing visitors, and communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns and/or urgent situations.
