Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Salem, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, service corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, lost children or property, and coordinating with local first responders as directed.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and restricted spaces, verifying authorized entry, issuing visitor directions, and reporting policy violations through the approved chain of command.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and service requests, and communicate updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
