As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents with calm, customer-focused communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. You will document security-related activity, assist guests and team members, and support a welcoming environment while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting concerns to store management and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floor areas, entrances and exits, stockroom corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft and/or other prohibited activity.
- Monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, observe for suspicious behavior and policy violations, and document observations using required reports and/or activity logs.
- Control access to restricted areas, support opening and closing routines, and communicate clearly with supervisors, store leadership, and/or local responders as needed.
