As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations and respond to concerns with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, coordinating with site personnel, and contacting local responders when needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help to manage visitor and employee traffic in accordance with posted rules and site requirements.
  • Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports, document observations and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
