About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Officer in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, loitering, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support retail operations by assisting with crowd management, monitoring after-hours activity, and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
