Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Hospital - Overnights in Laguna Hills, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds on foot and/or by vehicle, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear, respectful communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with your team with integrity. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state, reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction, requesting assistance, and completing required notifications.
  • Control access through designated entry points by observing for authorized entry, monitoring visitor flow, and assisting with wayfinding while remaining alert to security-related concerns.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
