Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with courteous service and clear communication, and respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and/or requesting additional resources as needed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas during rounds, helping to direct visitors, support wayfinding, and report unusual conditions through established channels.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems according to site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
