Experienced Security Officer - Evenings
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Control Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, following post orders for identification checks, sign-in procedures, and restricted area access.
- Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns, and relay important information during shift handoff.
