Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed by site procedures, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Support access control, badge checks, and routine inspections of assigned areas while maintaining visible presence and providing clear communication during daily operations and/or emergencies.
