About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Concierge in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control activity, assist employees and visitors with professionalism, and deliver strong communication and customer service. Requirements

A current Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, check credentials as required by location policies, and assist with visitor processing, deliveries, and/or employee inquiries in a professional manner.
Support a dynamic tech-focused location by maintaining awareness of changing activity levels, following post orders, and communicating clearly during routine operations and/or unusual events.
