Security Officer - Patrol, Clearance Required
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol, Clearance Required in Liverpool, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership. Bring strong customer service and integrity as part of a caring, agile team that delivers through teamwork and innovation.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- This is a primarily driving post.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production or office areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct guests and vendors according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with site lockdown or evacuation procedures as directed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
