Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Clearance Required in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, sleeping areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with check-in procedures as directed, and help to maintain orderly movement through the facility.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and/or maintenance concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
