Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, sleeping areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with check-in procedures as directed, and help to maintain orderly movement through the facility.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and/or maintenance concerns to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
