Job Description As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Clearance Required in Mascoutah, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols while remaining highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity to every interaction while delivering strong customer service through teamwork.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in and/or escort procedures, and reporting discrepancies to site leadership.
• Complete detailed reports, log entries, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives as needed.
