As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Associate in Romeoville, IL, this role involves serving and safeguarding clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. It is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule and explore new roles using the 'Claim a Shift' platform. The associate will work at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visibility to reduce security-related incidents, and supporting access activity with professionalism. The role emphasizes providing outstanding customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable team that prioritizes people and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and observe shipping and receiving areas for security-related concerns involving personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by reporting hazards, damaged barriers, open doors, lighting issues, and/or other conditions that could impact the location.
