As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol common areas, corridors, and exterior routes to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, support access control and customer interactions, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and site leadership. In this role, you will reflect our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading areas, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, assisting with lost and found situations, and requesting medical, fire, and/or law enforcement support as needed.
• Monitor access points, service corridors, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
