About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational campus environment.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public assistance partners as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, verify credentials when required, and provide directions and assistance to visitors in accordance with site protocols.
Support campus operations by communicating clearly with site contacts, assisting with crowd management during events and high-traffic periods, and completing routine reports related to daily activities and/or incidents.
