About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Gloversville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing a caring, reliable, and agile approach to each shift.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor activity at assigned areas, observe for unusual behavior, and document incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Assist with access control, crowd flow, and/or closing procedures as directed, while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive customer experience.
