Security Officer - Patient Wing Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patient Wing Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations using a computer or tablet and respond to issues with calm professionalism. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital staff and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Help manage access by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and logs, and communicate observations promptly to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site leadership.
