As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing an exceptional level of customer service. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming environment, as you interact with visitors, staff, and patients. Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, especially those relevant to a healthcare environment.
  • Screen individuals entering the location, following established protocols to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities, with attention to healthcare-specific concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of all screening activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and patients to provide information and assistance related to security-related matters.
