As a Security Officer - Patient Entry Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following protocols appropriate for a healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, assisting in the control of access to restricted locations within the healthcare facility.
Report and document observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, as directed by site procedures.
Communicate professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
