Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional service and communication. In this role, you will be part of a caring team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative while always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with hospital personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating tense situations when appropriate, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
