As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy maritime port location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with visitors, drivers, and site personnel while providing customer service. You will support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, truck drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of docks, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates and designated entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with scene control until help arrives.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
