Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a busy distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity to help support orderly site operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized activity, damaged barriers, and other conditions that may require security-related attention.
